How are the Driveway Slopes Claculated?

Once the Garage Apron Elevation is determined, we subtract the FG (Finished Grade Elevation) at the community sidewalk or R.O.W. (Right-of-Way) line. Then we divide by the distance between the Garage Apron and the sidewalk or R.O.W. line. Finally we multiply that by 100. This gives us the Driveway Slope percentage. If the slope is larger than what the City, County, or Community Design Guidelines requires a drop in the garage will be indicated on the plot plan. It is the builders responsibility to ensure attic access and the appropriate number of steps are installed from the house to the garage if there is a drop in the garage.
