How are the drives powered?
Originally we had enclosure that could be attached to both 110 volt and 220 volt power and we would pack a power outlet splitter in each case. The TTBs also used to have a universal power plug adapter from Targus. All of this is now moot with the switch to the WD Passport drives, since they run wholly (and exclusively) via USB. Sadly, Western Digital made the decision to change from mini USB to micro USB so people will have to be very careful about not losing the cable. Also, the drive now under-handedly tries to install drivers and hidden software, so i hope and pray that no military tech staff accuses this project of being an attempt to rootkit soldiers’ computers. 2.5.
