How are the counselors selected and trained?
The safety, training, and quality of the Cedarkirk staff is the key to our program. Our staff are young adults who have committed their time and energy this summer to caring for your child. Each counselor goes through an extensive hiring process, including interviews and background checks. Staff that are selected go through at least 11 days of training, and are skill tested for each activity. Our staff training prepares counselors to lead small groups of campers, organize and present worships and Bible studies, be confident in the outdoors, certified in First Aid and CPR, and lead all of our great activities that campers love.
