How are the Centres ensuring they provide resources suitable for teachers from all schools – from special needs schools to specialist colleges?

Before they began delivering courses, the Centres worked with teachers from all schools including special needs and specialist status schools to establish what resources and CPD is needed. The Centres will also work with LEA officers, the DfES and education specialists to create their courses. The Centres will carry out regular evaluation of their courses including: teacher focus groups; questionnaires completed by teachers using the Centres; feedback from the course leaders and questionnaires completed by members of the school community – heads, heads of subject areas, governors and students. This evaluation will enable the Centres to assess how well they are succeeding in serving teachers from all schools.
