How are the caretakers recruited?
~ They are typically recruited from the local church congregation. Church homes start as what we call cell churches. A cell church is a small group of people who start meeting as a result of one person who has actively witnessed the Good News of Jesus Christ. Usually, that person is actually someone who heard about the Gospel from another church planted by the same group that is building the church homes. Services, Bible study, and fellowship in a cell church usually take place in a small shack such as those typical in remote villages. Most times it is the home of someone in the church, probably the pastor. Church homes always spring up from a cell group. In that way we know that there are enough growing Christians that the home will have caregivers. Churches are asked to seek out the most qualified caregivers as leaders first.
