In the surf, on the beach and on activities supervision is constant, we also ask campers to use the buddy system to strengthen safety and supervision even further. We have a low camper to coach ratio, fully trained staff and are dedicated to keeping all our campers safe (and having fun) As such we also have a “No unsupervised surfing” rule at Camp of Champions surf camp. Unlike snowboarding where you can’t get to the park without supervision, we are right on the beach so its easy to do. If you want to surf outside our normal surf times, chances are other campers will want to surf as well, just grab a coach and you are all set. Please be aware our camp is NOT a 24 hour fully chaperoned, “hold their hand” camp. The youngest age we accept is 12 and oldest we accept is 20. We treat all campers as responsible young adults. There will be a few hours per day of unsupervised activity. The immediate areas of Seaview and Long Beach are very small and very safe. Not may places for kids to get los

24 hour assistance is provided. Campers are supervised at all times on the mountain and during activities. The youngest campers who we accept during the summer are mature 17 year olds as the accommodation is twin share and is not fully supervised. Campers are responsible for their own food shopping and preparation as well as keeping themselves entertained during the evenings and weekends.

The campers are supervised by the staff both on and off the field. For our overnight camps, the staff lives in the dorms with the campers. Our staff is chosen not only for their lacrosse teaching ability, but also for their maturity and responsibility.
