How are the buildings staffed?
Each residence hall on campus is managed by a Complex Director (CD) who is a full-time employee trained specifically to work with college students in a residential setting and/or a Resident Director (RD) who is a graduate student in the Student Personnel Administration program at Buffalo State. Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate students responsible for the creation and maintenance of a floor community conducive to the academic, social, and personal needs of residents. RAs are expected to confront violations of college policy, act as a role model in proper and desirable behavior, encourage residents to assume responsibility for their own actions/choices, and encourage respect and appreciation of each other’s differences.
