How are the Brethren schools funded?
The majority of school funding comes from school fees and generous donations from parents and the Brethren community. In addition the schools access normal funding available to all independent schools which satisfy the required government criteria. In Australia in 2006, the recurrent operational funding from government sources was less than half of annual operating costs and public funding for capital works was 3% of capital expenditure nationally.
