Each regional cooperative program has a Regional Director who reports to the ASDB Superintendent (who reports to the ASDB Board of Directors [which is appointed by the Arizona governor]). 13. How is it determined whether a sensory impaired student gets services from an ASDB Regional Cooperative program, the Tucson Campus of ASDB, or the Phoenix Campus of ASDB (Phoenix Day School for the Deaf [PDSD])? At every students IEP meeting, all placement options should be discussed in enough detail so that the IEP team fully understands the options that exist for the student. At least annually, the IEP team discusses the educational needs of each student, develops appropriate goals and objectives for that student, and determines which placement option best meets the needs of that student in the least restrictive environment.
