How are the additions to HBT and Prairie View being funded?
Although new building construction requires voter approval, additions to existing buildings may be funded with the impact fees collected from housing developers. As noted in the next questions response, our districts board of education and administration have actively pursued such alternative resources for funding. The nearly five million dollar cost for these two additions is being fully funded with impact fees rather than property taxes.
