How are students called off the waitlist?
Students are offered housing on a first come, first serve basis. Students are only offered housing as vacancies become available. At the conclusion of the lottery process, all available spaces are assigned and typically 200-300 current residents are not able to select a space. As students withdraw from housing, these guaranteed students are assigned to these spaces. After all guaranteed students are assigned, commuters can be assigned to new vacancies.
