How are small purchases handled?
City agencies have been delegated authority for small purchases up to and including $30,000. For purchases of $5,000 and under a non-competitive decentralized Purchase Order, (PD) is used. For purchases over $5,000 and up to and including $30,000 three written quotes are required, one being a minority.
