How are sink and stove cutouts done?

Granite can be cut with a saw with a diamond blade or with CNC technology that can cut any sink or surface unit cutout with computer aided design files. Under-mounted sinks (sinks that are mounted under the countertop so as to not show any rim) are fully cut out , then the inside of the hole is polished. The countertop can be reinforced with metal rods for extra support. Self rimming cutouts are cut 6″ into each corner leaving some the straight section to be cut in the field or jobsite to facilitate safe shipping and handling.
