How are sewer service charges collected?
Your sewer service charge is collected on your property tax bill. Sewer Service Charges are not taxes; the County tax bill is being used simply because it is the lowest cost way to collect the charge. The Napa Sanitation District fee is listed separately from the taxes. This method is less costly than maintaining computer programs for billing, printing customer bills and mailing them. This is an example of the District’s cost-efficient approach.
