How are rural road numbers allocated?

0

The number is determined by the distance of each property entrance from the start of the road. The number is equal to the number of metres along the road the property is located, divided by ten. If your property is 870 metres (0.87 km) from the beginning of the road, then your property number will be 87. The number is rounded down so that odd numbers are on the left side of the road and even numbers on the right as you progress from the start of the road.
