How are routine road work requests prioritized?
The Operations & Maintenance division works on a sector maintenance schedule, which divides the island up into 11 sectors (or areas of the city). The Public Works Department also identifies those roads which are heavily traveled. Therefore, a routine request such as patching, mowing, ditching & catch basin cleaning will occur as scheduled in that particular “sector” area.
