How are roommates selected?

0

As much as possible, roommates are selected based upon age and grade. Considerations, such as sports or other interests, may come into play. While we stress the importance of learning to live with others who may be dissimilar, roommate changes are considered when two cadets prove incompatible.

The information you indicated on your Housing Application will help us match you with a compatible roommate. We do not randomly select roommates. The Campus Living staff put as much time, prayer and care as they possibly can into the roommate matching process.

Most of our rooms are doubles, so roommate selection is important. We send out a roommate questionnaire that does an incredible job of matching like-personalities. However, should the system fail you, our staff will do its best to accommodate a switch.

Roommates will first be selected by each resident’s preference of whom s/he would like to have as a roommate. The roommate of choice must also specify this person as a roommate on her/his student life contract. If the resident has no preference, but still needs a roommate, the Residence Life and Admissions staff will assign a roommate based on factors of roommate compatibility.
