How are Robust Boats different from other aluminium boats?
The riveted boats are made from thin 1/16″ aluminium. Rivets work lose as the thin metal flexes and leaks. Robust Boats are completely welded out of marine-grade 5086 aluminium alloy. They have no rivets to pop, no wood to rot and no plastic or fibreglass to break. Our boats have a unique Folded Hull Structure. We are the only manufacturer of heavy-duty aluminium boats to fold the main hull sections to include Sides, eliminating the need for Keel & chine welds.
