How are rhino introductions going?
Very well. They have been together outside a few times (before winter set in) and have limited physical access to each other inside their building. It is expected that both rhinos will be outside together this summer. In the meantime, keepers Judy Stephens and Rose Stevenson and Enrichment Coordinator Elizabeth Arbaugh are working with the rhinos, teaching them to lean in to the bars, to accept showers and to get on the scale, all of which aids in their care.
