As part of the profile creation process, the institution has the ability to choose whether or not the ResearcherID system alerts their user’s to new publications being available under the following conditions. Their choice will be honored only if the user has not completed their ResearcherID registration. Once the researcher has completed their registration, they have a setting within their ResearcherID account to turn-off/on these alerts. The alert is set to yes by default. • Please describe what the researcher sees the first time they log-into an upload-created account. The researcher logs into ResearcherID using the email address and temporary password supplied either by the institution or via email from the ResearcherID system. Once the researcher logs in, they are taken to a registration page that is pre-populated with data supplied by the institution during the account creation process.
