How are researchers informed of account creation?
As part of the profile creation process, the system provides the option to have ResearcherID alert users that an account has been created for them. If this option is selected, an email will be sent to researchers alerting them to their account creation, including instructions on how to access their account. • How are researchers informed of publication upload? As part of the profile creation process, the institution has the ability to choose whether or not the ResearcherID system alerts their user’s to new publications being available under the following conditions. Their choice will be honored only if the user has not completed their ResearcherID registration. Once the researcher has completed their registration, they have a setting within their ResearcherID account to turn-off/on these alerts.
