How are received forms tracked within DataFax?

All DataFax CRFs are bar coded to identify the study number, form number, and, if applicable, the visit number. DataFax automatically reads the barcode upon receipt of the fax image, forwards the new record to the correct study, applies the correct ICR template to the form, and enters the form into the database as a new, to be reviewed, data record.DataFax supports a schedule of events system that tracks all forms and visits for a participant based on a combination of required, optional, and conditional forms and visits. Since DataFax has been designed specifically for use in clinical trials, concepts such as missed visits, baseline visits, termination visits, early termination visits, and other trial-specific events can be configured in to the system. This tracking system is part of the overall Quality Control (QC) process in DataFax. Expected forms and visits not received will become part of the QC reports sent back to clinical sites.
