How are phosphate fertilizers, feed supplement and industrial products produced?

0

Phosphate rock mined from underground ore deposits is reacted primarily with sulfuric acid to produce phosphoric acid (P205), the feedstock for other products. Phosphoric acid can be reacted with ammonia and granulated to produce the solid fertilizer DAP, concentrated by evaporation to produce merchant grade phosphoric acid, further evaporated to produce superphosphoric acid, reacted with limestone or phosphate rock to produce animal feed products, or purified by solvent extraction to produce industrial grade phosphoric acids.
