How are people hired for overseas assignments with CDC?
US citizens may apply through USA JOBS for either temporary or permanent appointments. Temporary appointments do not provide Federal Civil Service career status but are generally more available. Permanent appointments give the employee Federal career status but are very limited and require that the employee sign a rotational agreement*.
