The DPH is authorized under Connecticut General Statutes Sections 19a-490 n-o to collect data on healthcare associated infections. Connecticut General Statutes Sections 19a-7-1, 19a-7-2, 1925, and Sections 1 through 4 of the Connecticut Public Health Code provide strict confidentiality of health care data. Will data in National Healthcare Safety Network be shared with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement or any other organization?
