How are part-time residents counted with respect to the approved complement of residents for a program?

0

A. Each resident, whether full- or part-time requires individual attention to curriculum planning and acquisition of the required competencies. Therefore two half-time residents may require more program director and faculty time than a single full-time resident. If for a given program the proportion of residents who are part-time is small (e.g. one or two), the part-time residents may be counted proportionate to their time. Programs with a large proportion of part-time residents should consult the RRC for guidance on their specific situation.
