How are overspends recorded on the tool?
The tool captures the cost of delivering the service during 07/08. If the provider is overspent against their contract then this would not affect the tool but would be a matter for local discussion between the provider and the commissioner. 10.4. We as a provider have five community drug teams, some of which have more than one agency code, and we would need to split things artificially in order to do this. Can we complete one return for all five teams? It is important that all agencies submit data using the correct NDTMS agency code. There are two reasons for this – firstly the web-based tool requires providers to log in using their NDTMS agency code as a login name. Secondly, the unit costs will be calculated using NDTMS activity data for 07/08 which will be broken down to agency code level. If providers were to aggregate several services into one agency code the unit cost information generated would be incorrect and not useable for planning purposes.
