The SATCOM-II contracts are task order/delivery order contracts. There must be a task order before any service or equipment can be delivered. That task order must be fixed price, and must include the following information per FAR 16.505 (a)(6): • Date of Order • SATCOM-II Contract# and Order# • Identify contract item# (SATCOM-II contract CLIN, description, quantity, and unit price) • Delivery or performance schedule • Place of performance • Packaging, packing and shipping instructions • Accounting and appropriation data • Method of payment and payment office Purchase cards may be used for payment (if authorized), but purchase cards cannot be used in place of a task order. Contractors must work with the customer to ensure that the above information is supplied with each task order. Contractors must not accept orders that do not include this information.
