How are Oracle Portal users authenticated?

0

Oracle Portal is a partner application of Oracle Single Sign-On. Oracle Single Sign-On allows users to be authenticated to the Oracle Application Server and gain access to any application for which they are authorized, without requiring them to re-enter a user name and password for each application. Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On is fully integrated with Oracle Internet Directory, which stores user information. The Oracle Internet Directory is an LDAP V3 compliant directory and supports the provisioning of both users and groups within a Directory Information Tree (DIT). For additional information on Oracle Application Server Security, see OTN.
