The purpose of the AW Appraisal Gallery is educational. When an AW appraiser feels his or her evaluation of a particular object will be of interest or benefit to a wide range of users, it will be requested for inclusion in the Gallery. The criteria for selection vary. An object might be a particularly fine representation of its type. The appraisal might illustrate an important rule of identification or valuation. Or the object might be a rare and valuable piece to look out for. As the Gallery grows, it will comprise a valuable, free resource for AW users.
