Currently, qualifications (and their constituent units) within the NQF do not have credit attached to them. Although the qualifications have not been overtly written using the principles and guidelines recommended by NICATS, there is a nationally agreed methodology for assigning credit equivalence to these qualifications (see UK Credit Equivalence Project).
