The selection process has multiple steps: • SEI, LASVP and USC distribute a “Call for Nominations” (June). Anyone can nominate an organization, but nominators should be closely familiar with the organization and its mission. Nonprofit staff and paid consultants cannot self-nominate. • A selection committee made up of representatives from LASVP, SEI and USC reviews all nominations for eligibility, and invites qualified organizations to submit a short application (July). • An expanded review committee, which includes selection committee members plus LASVP Partners and experienced coaches, completes a structured evaluation of applications and selects up to 20 semi-finalists to participate in the program (August). • Selected organizations participate in a two-month coaching and mentoring process leading up to the event (Sept-Nov).
