How are nocturnal upper airway obstruction problems diagnosed?
New patients being evaluated for upper airway obstruction will all go through a similar process: • You will be asked to describe your sleep problems. • Your general health will be reviewed with the doctor. • You will have a complete Head & Neck Examination, sometimes including endoscopic examination (looking into the nose or mouth with a very small telescope). • If you have signs of OSA, further testing may be needed before treatment is recommended.
