All films featured as part of the Next Gen program are approved for screening by the Attorney General’s Department Classification Branch. In order to assist teachers in making informed decisions about children’s viewing, when films have not yet been classified MIFF has provided suitability recommendations according to year level or age group. Teachers can find these recommendation on the downloadable MIFF program or on each study guide. You will find the year level or age range we believe to be best suited to the film, as well as an indication of any sensitive content according to the official guidelines of the Attorney General’s Department, Classification Branch – www.classification.gov.au This content advice is designed as a guide only. If parents/guardians and teachers would like more information about individual films, please don’t hesitate to contact the festival office on 03 8860 4888.
