How are New York Inter-Group’s Steering Committee members elected?
Members of the Steering Committee are elected in several ways. Two of the officers of the Inter-Group Association, Chairperson and Secretary, are elected by group representatives meeting quarterly. Notices of availability of the service opportunities are published eight months in advance. Nominations for the offices are screened by a Nominating Committee that presents no more than three nominees to the membership at a quarterly Inter-Group Delegates’ meeting for election. An Alternate Chairperson is elected in the same way. Inter-Group’s Treasurer, the third officer of the Inter-Group Association, is nominated by the Finance Committee, ratified by the Steering Committee and by the membership at a quarterly Inter-Group Delegates’ (group representatives) meeting.
