How are new Joggin John comic strips different from classic Joggin John?
They are different in two ways. One, the characters have changed a little. No more housewife jokes out of Joggin John, Charmin is now a CEO. So this is very much a 90s/21st century comic strip. Some of the nastiness that worked its way in from teenage influences is gone as well. Additionally, David has grown and is working in business. And I presume that my journey from childhood into adulthood has subconsciously wrought some changes in the characters personalitites as well. Second, I confess that I no longer use markers for the coloring. There are no original hard copies anymore. I sketch the outlines of the characters on paper and scan the paper in. I then use Adobe PhotoShop to fill in the coloring. So as much as I hate to upset the purists, Joggin’ John is now technologically advanced, with the final edition existing not on paper, but as a computer file.
