How are NC Reach applications and forms processed?
After the student completes the online portion of the application and their college or university completes the financial aid release form and cashier statement, it takes approximately 14 business days for an NC Reach grant to be processed. NC DHHS confirms the student’s eligibility to receive an NC Reach grant. If additional information is needed a coordinator will contact the student via telephone and email – it is critical that the contact information in the application is always current. NC Reach works with the college’s the financial aid office to determine how much grant funding the student receives each semester. NC Reach funds eliminate the need for student loans.
