How are Native American perceptions of ownership different than Anglo perceptions?
Native Americans often view intellectual property as being a matter of group or extended family ownership. For example, many people, over a long period of time, over many generations, contributed to the preservation of Zuni plant varieties through the Zuni seed bank. According to the Native American point of view, the Zunis as a group, the entire group, owns the intellectual property associasted with the Zuni seed bank.
