How are my fingerprints and iris image biometrics used?

Prior to being stored in a secure database, your fingerprints and iris images, captured during the enrollment process, are converted to templates that will be embedded on your personal rtGO Card. Rather than containing the entire image, the templates only hold information about the points of interest in the image so the original image cannot be re-created. Your biometric data is securely stored and encrypted, and is logically separated from any personal enrollment data, ensuring that your biometric information remains private and anonymous. The iris image capture process will work even if the participant wears contacts. Glasses will need to be removed prior to the iris image being taken.
