How are mood disorders and mental health issues treated?
At Suburban Hospital , we’re able to provide a wide range of comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals with mood disorders, as well as services designed to foster mental health. Most of our patients are admitted from our Emergency Department and are in need of intensive treatment and stabilization. We promote family involvement in the recovery process, and try to do our best to create a comfortable, safe treatment environment. Our philosophy of treatment emphasizes respect for the patient and family, with a goal to provide care at the least restrictive level possible, and within the local community. We believe it is crucial that our patients take an active role in their treatment program, participating in group and individual activities, selection of their medications, and outpatient care.
