How are matters referred to the MINMP?
Matters are referred to the MINMP by various City departments, the City Attorney, the Mercer Island Police Department, and other community agencies. Parties may also contact the program directly to request mediation services. Matters referred to the program are screened to determine if mediation is appropriate, and the parties are then contacted to schedule a mutually convenient time for mediation to occur.
