RMTs are regulated by the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario), which works to ensure the safety and proper standards of therapists as well as clients. To know if your massage therapist is registered, ask for their registration number, which you can double check with the CMTO at anytime. Registered Massage Therapists are also governed under the RHPA (Regulated Health Professions Act).
