How are localities that are new to WVMI s utilization review for CSA informed of procedures for referring cases to WVMI?

The interagency agreement between DMAS and localities for WVMI utilization review is effective from December 1 through November 30. In late summer/early fall each year, DMAS sends a notice to all CPMT chairs announcing the new contract year. The notice includes copies of the interagency agreement that must be signed and returned to DMAS. Localities who return signed agreements receive a packet of information from DMAS and WVMI that describes the referral procedures. The packet also includes forms the locality will use to refer cases to WVMI for review.
