How are living expenses calculated?

0

For most U.S. projects conducted by students, the maximum you may receive for living expenses is $185 per week during the summer only. This should cover room and board, utilities and phone, consumer disposables and local commute. If you are doing a project in your hometown, you will be expected to live at home. Normally expenses for living at home may not be covered by the grant, though a modest contribution to the household is. Living expenses for non-US projects should be calculated based on information about the local economy.
