Jaime: The LAPD has always been at the forefront of their training. It’s very focused dynamic training and they only graduate the best of the best. They have the reputation for being the best law enforcement agency in the world, even though that image has been tarnished by things like the Rodney King scandal, I still think it maintains its reputation to this day. How does Street Kings accurately reflect a cop’s life? Jaime: It’s a fictional story but if you look at the relationships and the camaraderie its spot on. The complex relationships within law enforcement were explored really well and the every day details of police work from the wearing of a uniform to the jargon to the disposing of a gun were exact.
