How are individual applications assessed?
The Trustees will consider the course of study and how it will assist the applicant in pursuing his/her career. Grants are awarded for accredited qualifications recognised by the Trustees, the majority of which will be awarded by universities, colleges of higher and further education or ministerial training colleges. Under the terms of the governing scheme, grants may be given for training of social workers, community workers, youth workers, and teachers; for training ministers of the Church of England (or of a church in communion with it) grants may also be given to assist with study of music and the arts. Preference is given to applicants from the Dioceses of Bath & Wells, Bristol and Gloucester and from the former students of the College; this does not preclude applicants from elsewhere.
