How are hospices supposed to increase awareness of their services in all communities?
Again, the HAO Policies and Procedures manual says that hospices should define a mechanism to increase the awareness of their services and needs within the diverse communities in the area served. In order to do this, the hospice should regularly consult with major groups within the diverse communities, the local CCAC, community-based health care providers and support agencies, the District Health Council, and elected representatives.
