How are hardware repairs handled for program laptops?
You can check your laptop in at the Kenan-Flagler IT Helpdesk for hardware repairs. The machine will usually be repaired by the next day. If you are not at Kenan-Flagler, you can contact the vendor directly to coordinate the repair. Dell, Fujitsu, and HP will send a technician to repair your machine the next business day. Lenovo will refer you to the nearest repair center within the United States. Hardware repairs for non-program laptops must be coordinated with the vendor. The IT Helpdesk cannot repair non-program machines. UNC Student Stores does have an Apple technician who can repair Macs.
