How are hall assignments made?
Students with new contracts are assigned in a sequence determined by the date that the online contract is successfully completed. You are urged to submit your housing contract online as soon as you have accepted the University’s offer of admission. (Please wait 48 hours after accepting your admission for your information to update.) New students are assigned to spaces available after continuing students reassign and pick their rooms. Some halls have limited spaces for freshmen due to the number of current students who reassign. For example, Busey-Evans, LAR, ISR, Scott Hall, Barton-Lundgren Hall, and Garner Hall have a majority of returning residents assigned to them and very few freshmen are able to be assigned to these halls.
