How are Google ads targeted? How does Google know when someone clicks on my ad?
The ads we display on a webpage are determined automatically by our system based on a number of factors such as the page content, linguistics, keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web. When a user clicks on an ad on your website, Google receives a signal and records it. Your account is also updated with the impression and CPC data. When you log into the AdSense website the impressions, clicks, and earnings are for the date displayed in the drop-down menu next to ‘View’.
